by Dr. Scott Briggs
Hello everyone. Welcome to my blog. I am so happy to have you here, and I thought we should start with an introduction.
My name is Dr. Scott Briggs. I am a Jesus follower, husband, father, chiropractor and entrepreneur. I run Briggs Family Chiropractic in Converse, Indiana, and I am living in my dream world.
I grew up in the mountains and streams of Montana. I am a lover of all things outdoors. I attended Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas and graduated in 2004. After graduation, I headed back to Montana to practice in Helena, Montana. It is a good thing I made that decision– because in what can only be described as a God moment, I met my future wife Cindy in the fall of 2006. We met, got engaged and got married in a very short time….and 14 years later I still love her more now than when we met. Cindy is a college professor, business coach, entrepreneur and so much more. We make a great team.
I had a clinic in Montana called Chiropractic Solutions, but after two years we made a change and moved to Dallas, Texas (funny because I said I would never move back to Texas!) While in Texas, I was a professor of chiropractic back at Parker, and I practiced on the side. We added our three children to our family while in Texas. Our daughters through the blessing of adoption, and our son through a miracle. After 10 years in Texas, I got the opportunity to work with an old classmate and move to Salt Lake City to work in a clinic specializing in pregnant mom’s and infants. It was a wonderful experience and after two years I was ready to set off and use this amazing new knowledge.
To try to make a very long story short… we ended up in Indiana for Cindy’s job. I didn’t immediately go into practice, and instead I was doing contracting work for over a year until we made a decision on whether Indiana was “home”. I started seeing a few patients out of my home— and then Cindy said, “you have to go get an office!” Well, we went against everything a “successful” business would do (and trust me with Cindy being a business professor– she even thought we were crazy). We went very “low-key”. We rented a small space, in a very small farming community. We didn’t get fancy with the interior and we just had the basics to get going…but you know what… God blessed this effort mightily. Within weeks we were seeing more patients than we could have imagined. We are thrilled with what it has become.
My mission is provide health to everyone. I don’t want to make it complicated, scary, or expensive. I want everyone to be able to take their healthcare journey and make me a part of it.
I have this blog to help with healthcare topics, product recommendations, and updates. If you have topics you would like see covered in the blog– drop us a line and we will get it in here.
